Grenfell Tower was a high-rise social housing tower block in the Borough of North Kensington and Chelsea, West London. It was 24 Storeys high and contained 127 flats. A total of 72 people were killed by the fire and many more were injured. Concerns had been raised by fire safety experts regarding the potentially high flammability of the cladding in 2014 but were ignored. The fire was so serious, it continued to burn for over 60 hours.
